I like being a senior because 1: now I don't waste as much time as I did when I was younger worrying about what others thought of me. 2: I no longer suffer from PMS! 3:if I don't feel like cleaning the house, I don't ! 4: I get a small pension every month to buy my grandaughter clothes. 5: I can stay up all night on the computer or not.

Well almost there...
1. I am more comfortable with myself than I have ever been
2. Kids are independent and I can pursue what I wanted to do for years.
3. All the awesome Seniors here that I do truly love!
4. I can talk to anyone at any age and not feel shy or stupid even if they think I'm weird.
5. Wisdom is a wonderful thing that you can't get just going to school or reading books...it requires a great deal of experience.

Sorry we didn't complete the Twelve Days of Christmas-but loved your idea
5 reasons I love being a senior (not quite there yet but almost)
1) I can sing as loud as I want in the car and not care if people are looking
2) Ditto for dancing in the car!!
3) I have much more confidence. I can just go up to people-even teens or kids and just start talking to them-even if they think I'm weird
4) I have lots of experience and wisdom to share
5) I can take naps and sleep in without feeling guilty
6) GRANDKIDS!! Need I say more!!

I do love being a senior. It makes me the matriarch of my family, which is pretty fun.
I love it that I have the freedom to work, or not as I want to.
I love being old enough to say things that shock my kids. I also love to look at them and realize that they have grown up smarter than me, and to know I have done a pretty good job.
I love to finally have time to do and learn all the things I always wished I had time for.
I love having time to share things with my husband that we have always talked about doing, and knowing that we have each other to grow old with.

You are more assured, confident and generally know what you want. I like this stage of my life for that. But I doubt if I love being a senior - all the bodily aches are a constant reminder of my age.

Who said I loved being a senior? Retirement is great, but inside I am still 29. Sure wished I looked it and felt like it.

I no longer have to work for a living. I can do as I please as long as I don't infringe on the rights of others. My children are all self sufficient ... not clinging dependents. Lots of 'old folks' discounts. I can speak my mind and will be called eccentric instead of crazy.
