I know both of them believe the people are status symbol for the government, but what is the views of Republcans and Demorcrats today? I am just a high school student, so don't berate me for asking a poor question. I like to know the differences between them.

They are quite alike in their disdain for the American citizen. GW Bush has taken disdain for America to the next level.

Republicans claim that they want less government and lower taxes. Democrats believe that government has an important role to play. they believe in more labor friendly policies and social liberalism

Dems believe in democracy. Repugs believe in their party regardless of where it takes them.

republicans want to tax low income more and tax relief for the top 1 %
