work at Burger King, and ran into a nasty situation yesterday.
One of My Coworkers (we'll call her "Jen") came to work from the gym, like usual. When she was done changing, she went to put her clothes in an empty cupboard, like she always does.
So.. As she was putting her clothes away, she noticed that the Sierra Mist Fountain Dispenser was dripping. She put her clothes on the ground and used her DIRTY SOCK to wipe off the nozzle to stop the dripping.
I wanted to yell at her immediately, but I didn't. I would talk to our manager, but I don't want to be the nark that I'm already harped up tp be.
I was so disgusted by this, and I don't want her to get away with it!
What should I do??!?

I couldn't stop the dripping. I was working register and we were packed. I would have if I could. And she COULD have used a napkin. This wasn't my fault at ALL.

If you're already considered to be a narc, I don't see the problem. At least now, you will doing everyone a huge favor by telling your manager about this.

Besides, don't you guys have cameras, so you can at least prove what you're saying is true?

You have to say something, because that is just gross. If she's fine with doing that, what's next? Licking ketchup off the counter instead of using a washcloth.

Good Luck

Yes this is gross. You have every right to be a "narc".

Geez where is this BK located at so I know never to go there?

I've worked in many supermarket and fastfood places.

After what I've seen from "fellow" employees that's the main reason I never shop at a lot of those places I've worked.

To give you an idea I worked with a guy who used to SPIT on the produce. He called me over just to SHOW me as he was cutting a woman's watermellon. He spit on her watermellon...wrapped it up in plastic wrap and gave it to her.

I quit not to much longer after that.

I'm very careful where I buy food.

{Edit}Thanks for the heads up Kristen and thank God I don't live around there! Someone should call the department of health.

If I had worked there or been a customer at the time, I wouldn't consider it ratting out for a minute. The difference is if I'd been a customer, I would have brought it to the attention of the manager and followed up with a call to the Health Dept. the next morning.

DO NOT listen to these jerks saying this is somehow your fault...

Tell on the girl... and if nothing is done, call the health department...

That is so nasty.... and it does not make you a narc.

If doing the right thing makes someone a narc, I don't want to be around those people....

THEY are jerks.... not you.

I guess she got tired of waiting for you to stop that dripping. You were there and saw it too and you didn't bother to take a clean cloth and wipe off the nozzle.

if you don't make a practice of looking for things to complain about why did you say you already have that reputation?
