Ol' Abe took more liberties with the Constitution then any other President to date, was a head-strong leader, and a Republican; of course he would (they would probably be best of friends to boot).

Sure.

Lincoln suspended Habius Corpus.
Lincoln bypassed the US Constitution on a regular basis. For example, he signed a presidential proclamation that allowed West Virginia to become a state and NOT have to take the steps as required by the US Constitution.

There are many more examples. If you look at what Lincoln did, many of the same claims made by those who want to impeach Bush have already been done by Abraham Lincoln. Lincoln would have had calls to be impeached by many of the same people calling for Bush to be impeached.

1. Bush is not running for President

2. If you bothered doing research before asking this question you would have discovered that Lincoln would support Bush were he alive today....

3. If Lincoln were president today, Liberal Democrats would find themselves in hot water, if not in front of a firing squad.

4. Maybe you should put in some research before asking questions...........

Lincoln was a Republican. He also was the president when the Civil War started and had to deal with defending the nation just like G.W.B. He even had his pacifists and anti-war activists. If it weren't for US Grant and Sherman and their "surge", our nation might be two nations now.

Given the similarities in their situations, I'm confident that Abe would have voted for GWB. History vindicated Lincoln, and time will tell whether it will be as kind to GW.

Yes. Modern Democrats have nothing in common with congress and any president in the 1800's.

Lincoln would want Modern Democrats jailed. In fact, Democrats in the early 1900's would have jailed modern democrats. In the early 1900s, a Democrat president signed a law that made it illegal for all anti-war protestors to exist. The Democrat president also asked to turn in any person that is against war.
