I was wondering the same thing only recently.

I couldn't help notice that Paul's scheduled appearance at the Brit awards is the second thing Paul's done or will do in a few months where he has previously said he will only do once he's pretty much retired. I believe I read Paul say a few times in the past that he hadn't released a Best-Off because his career wasn't over and those were only for retrospectives, yet he's just released The McCartney Years. And the same thing with why he hasn't accepted the Brit award all hese years...I.e. because he had often said that would suggest he's retiring and now gets the 'best effort' prize at the end of it all.

Obviously Paul wouldn't retire just because he once said those things, but I can't help but be a little worried (ok, very worried!).

Still, I think Paul would find it harder to quit making music than he thinks. He's working with his son James on an album (of James') and apparently there's some guitar instrumental album that is in the works of release. Still, these are obviously not major rock albums of his, and whether he'll release another album or two of rock vocals is a bit tough.

My guess is there will be at least one more. Paul tends to have many songs left over from each session he does (and it is always surprising when we hear them at later stages) that they are often not of lower quality at all. So I'd guess he'd want to put out one more grander album. Memory Almost Full did well (very decent sales, #3 in the US, 3 Grammy nominations etc) but I'm sure Paul knows he can have a bigger bang as he leaves.

My guess, one or maybe two more albums, and the last one will be called McCartney 3.

He's been on a creative roll for the last 10 years. Some of his best work since the 70s. Yeah. I'd guess he sure will. Good for him!
