Foxboro (Massachusetts) and New York have identical temperatures, winter weather precipitation and the same exact snow fronts. I have to ask - how come so many people think the weather will hurt New England and not the Jets? The way I see it, bad weather makes a powerhouse like New England average, and makes a fair team like the Jets, well ... bad. New England is 9-0 in blizzards, and are playing at home. Brady's thrown 5 INT's all year, as opposed to what, over 20 combined INT's by the two Jet QB's.

Some people just look for ANY way to degrade the Patriots, huh?

You are so right. And the root of the problem is that so many of these cry babies have no idea of the history of good football teams, especially the Patriots in cold weather. The Patriots are at home in cold weather. It is their environment. The jets too, but the jets lack the drive and the will too win in the cold, let alone in warm weather. The jets will play good football for the first 5 minutes. Then they will be ready to throw in the towel. They have no reason to give it their best. Especially for a bad coach who doesn't seem to give them good plays to win by.

Actually, New England is 9-0 when playing in the snow. They have never before played in a blizzard. It's much different.

The Patriots are so good because of their passing game. That is a simple fact. When you throw in 40+ MPH winds and a lot of snow, the passing game is a lot less effective.

The Jets don't need their passing game as much as the Pats do. They can survive running the ball 40 times a game, while the Pats might have difficulty doing that.

it's not that they have historically done poorly in bad weather, it's the fact that they PASS 85% OF THE TIME. passing, especially deep passing, is much more difficult in bad weather and wind and the pats have done such little running the last few weeks that they may not be able to run the ball all that effectively if and when the weather makes the passing game too risky. the weather also tends to favor running offenses over the defense and the pats arent that good at stopping the run to begin with. remember that the wind in baltimore did a lot to ground the pats passing game too. also with each team running the ball more the clock gets eaten much faster so there ends up being less time to rack up a big score.

the end result will be the same it will just be a lower scoring affair. pats will probably win 27-13.

patriots are a passing team and since the wind will be 40 mph on game day. It will force primarily a ground game on both sides of the ball. looks to me like a defensive game but i still pick the patriots by 2 or more tds

its just the facts, really bad weather levels the playing field. nobody is bashing the cheaters on this one, its just the facts. look at the dolphins stealers game, are you telling me in good weather that game is 3-0. your just another insecure "life-long" pats fan. the pats and their fans have created all this hate, not the other way around.

"The way I see it, bad weather makes a powerhouse like New England average..."

By downgrading the NE Pats from powerhouse status to average, you just proved yourself wrong...
