I used to hang mine on out book shelf.. but the stocking holders wouldn't hold because the stockings got to heavy.. so we ended up hanging the from the corners of the shelf.

This year we bought a stand. Kind of Like this one: http://www.improvementscatalog.com/home/improvements/792912992-stocking-holder-christmas-stocking-stand.html

Just get those little metal hangers that you usually hand on the mantle of your fireplace and then hang the stockings on the hook but in your case just put them on a counter that the can hang from.

We just buy the little metal hooks from Wal-Mart in the home improvement section and hang them on the wall around the Christmas tree. Our Christmas tree is in the corner so we have stockings on both sides of it.

If you have a counter for like a built in bar you just need to get some stocking hangers and set them on the counter and hang them on that, plus it will be a lot more decorative than where they are now!

I actually have a wood mantle over a brick hearth. i exploit straight away pins. confident, straight away pins.....the type with the little around colourful head. That way, the hollow it leaves is somewhat minimum. carry the pin by making use of the pinnacle and somewhat faucet it with a hammer. placed it in at a average perspective and it is going to hold the stocking wonderful. If there's no longer something to place the pins in, you ought to evaluate putting a length of garland horizontally and putting the stockings on that. yet another concept would be those little suction cup hanger issues. you ought to adhere them directly to the marble. they are enormously sturdy.....we've a number of small stained glass products putting in abode windows with those. i'm attempting to come to a decision the place to dangle all my stockings, too......my mantle is purely extensive sufficient to dangle 4 of them, and there will be 7 human beings right here.

The houses I lived in never had a fireplace; so we just put them against on the floor against our presents under the christmas tree.

If you have a little open space on a wall you could make a fireplace to hang them near. Fun little craft thing if you have kids or free time.

How about hanging them on the tree itself? Just leave enough room when decorating!

When I was a kid my mom used to hang them on the front door--how she did it I really don't know. That's one place that they can hang.

If you have a shelf in your home that would work too.

If all else, find a way to hang them on the Christmas tree.

I bought three of those weighted stocking hangers (from Target) and placed then on a shelf in my living room.
