there is no way to determine exactly how old the earth is and it depends on who u ask. Science tells us threw carbon 14 testing that th earth is 6.5 billion years old, however carbon 14 dating is not as exact science. If you ask Creationists they will tell you that the earth is only 6000 years old. So who is right? Its hard to say, so go out and do your own research and remember always keep an open mind.

4.5 Billion years is the widely accepted figure by every non-quacky scientist who cares about the problem in the first place. Most religious people find this hard to swallow because it threatens their tiny little closed off worlds, or it makes their tiny little brains hurt.
