Its the richest state in the union its gdp is a trillion dollars or so many companies are based or have headquarters there. They have allot of natural resources as well

More to the point, perhaps California might do better as two states, rather than as an independent country. North & South California, two different states--of mind, of opinion, of climate, and resources.
California leaving the Union would simply cause the rest of the Continental US to tip east and bug the heck out of Canada.
