I smoke pot. Most people will stop reading there, for the open minded intellects of society, I shall go on. I have been smoking pot since high school, and I continue to in college. I obtain high marks in all of my classes, have membership in several clubs and have a large group of friends. It does not hinder me in any way, the government attacks it in illogical commercials which produce propaganda and fear. Marijuana does not make animals talk, it does not make you a murderer and it does not make you crazy (unless you are predisposed to a psychological disorder). What marijuana does is make you content with life, and your overall wellbeing. If abused--meaning smoking several times a day--the user will become lazy, and unmotivated. These commercials about car crashes and paths to heroin are disgusting and do not project the true facts of marijuana. Why lie? What is the logic in it, who is gaining from this and how long can they keep it up?

You have a very rational view.
All governments try to control everybody; grass is a weed that's quite easy to grow and it would be difficult to tax!
The government is a stone wall fighting it, but it's loosing control. Like organized religion!

Well there is only one reason I can see for this attack against marijuana. I don't part take in any kind of drug related activities but, I do oppose these ads which are against marijuana. It is bad, however, it is not as harmful and is really cheap and inexpensive, and does not require much manufacturing, so the government which is pro big business dislikes marijuana cause it can be grown everywhere and is cheap to the consumer. So it does not benefit them. The gov't and big businesses like the tobacco industry stay in business by promoting their products. However if eveyone starts using the less harful and addicting drug like marijuana, they lose money and that is "bad" in the eyes of the gov't. So....its all a money making scheme.

You have a point , the commercials are very stupid , thought up by people who do not know any of the actual truths about pot. people are different .. everybody has a different reaction to THC, but for some the affects are very damaging and irreversible , and although not fatel it has led to suiside in manny cases ,, the problem is are you one of the ones who gets to feel relaxed or are you one of those who gets to wish you were dead , NO one knows,, it's a crapshoot , so the government desided to lie and say that it affects everybody the same ,, But it don't !!!!! and to answer the question , How does it affect you ,, could be dangerous ,, because what the chemical does to certain individuals is irreversible , and could land them in an instatution ,, wishing they were dead ,, {{ I don't think that ' ll be too fun }} but thats just me , but I do think the adds are stupid , but so are the ones about cigerett smoking and the just elininate lies campain Showing all those corpses ,,, were not that stupid , are we ?
