i have a 1412 with a bad crank and a 1490 with a bad head.I want to make 1 good tractor out of the 2

David Brown was a subsidiary of Case. A Case dealer may still have the specs for DB tractors. Another way to check without tearing everything apart would be to compare head gaskets from both models. If the gaskets are close to the same the heads will probably fit.

I am sure you meant to say David Bradley and if so, yes. It is the same motor just a newer model...
