I've been wondering the same thing....I've wanted to get the Sims2 but don't know which to get.....

The Sims 2 (by itself) is the base game. The Sims 2 Deluxe is a combination of the base game and one expansion, called Nightlife. TS2Deluxe is more expensive, but it has features like dating, attraction, and cars. Both versions include WooHoo, kids, aging, and genetics.

i would buy deluxe edition. they both have that woohoo feature but deluxe probably offers a lot more than the sims 2 pc

The deluxe has some other extension on it I think. You can do all the same things. But buy Deluxe because you can probably do more with it.

Deluxe comes with two of the expansion packs in the same box.

you can do more stuff on deluxe & there are more objects and stuff.
nightlife for me is the best expansion pack for sims 2!
just go for deluxe! or if you want to save a few bucks go for normal one, it wont make the biggest difference!
