wow, you have a bad problem. Just whenever you see something that you like or think is cute, think of all that money that you are loosin, that you could be using to get food and for more important things in life, also, medical bills, taxes, and more bills.
Also you can return stuff so when you get home and think it is ugly you can just return it if you keep the tags on and he receipt

I think you're buying things because when you make a purchase it makes you feel like you've succeeded.
Think of it this way: if you were a hunter/gatherer, this need would be fulfilled by bringing home food, firewood, berries or by making really necessary things like housing or tools. For you, coming home from the mall without a purchase is the equivalent of coming home from a hunt without any meat. Your ancient survival instinct to sustain life has been absorbed by shopping!
You need to replace the shopping with another goal that you can be successful at. Book into a course so you develop a routine. Choose something that challenges you physically or creatively.
Don't meet your friends at the mall. Start a creative circle that meets at a café to make things. Meet your friends for a walk or a game in the park. Learn to make the clothes you see at the shops ...these things give you a much longer lived feeling of success than shopping
Maybe make the challenge of the week a trip to the mall WITHOUT a purchase. If you succeed, put that money aside for something bigger in the future like travel.
If you buy unwanted things, take the them back to the store. You have to push hard to overcome habits. Throwing things away or stashing them in the closet is like denial and it won't help you get out of this at all
Lastly, my mum always says walk away from something and if you really need it, you can go and get it tomorrow. It's amazing how that feeling of terrible desire dies away when you're not looking at it
Good luck (c;

Take someone VERY strong willed with you,ask them to go into every shop that you use with you,but they are to stop you buying ANYTHING not so much as a pack of tissues, get them to do this several times, and eventually your mind will start to see that it is possible to go into a shop without buying everything in sight.Maybe your mum would be the one to ask to help you with this,i bet she would be horrified if she knew you are doing this. You know it is wrong, and you know you are wasting so much money on stuff you don`t need or even want,it is a bit like a magpie when it sees something shiny ,it just HAS to have it because it can,not because it wants or needs it only because it is there, and you are doing the same with these clothes.Get some help a.s.a.p. get out of this habit before it gets you deeply into debt.I wish you all the best xx

It seems like you and I have a similiar problem. I have to buy one of each color if I like the color or not. I have so many clothes I have them in piles on shelves, the floor of my closet...I can't hang anymore in my closet, I have hangers over hangers.
The only way I don't buy anymore clothes is try not to go shopping, but it's hard, I know. I thought I was the only one like this.
The best way that works for me is to leave credit and bank cards at home and only take a few dollars if I want a drink or something from the dollar menu at mcdonalds.

I think you're using shopping as therapy; it's not about the items you buy but how when you're shopping, you're not thinking about anything else - you forget your problems. It's like any other addiction - have a feeling (good OR bad), smoke a cigarette, shoot some dope, or, go shopping.
I'd strongly suggest therapy because if you continue, you'll have a future of financial chaos - and that's no fun.

when you go to the mall and you see something cute, DO NOT go into the store and DO NOT buy it. if you go home from the mall and you are still thinking about the thing that you saw, then (and only then) can u consider getting it.
good luck and hope this helped! <3

positioned tape on them. in simple terms wrap it around the tip of your finger information. i'd in all probability initiate on a friday after college so which you have the entire weekend to advance them somewhat before college starts off. I had an analogous habit and that i attempted soooooo not hassle-free to not chew them yet could not end til i resorted to taping them. yet....after some days of it, my nails began to advance out and that i felt so carried out by using it that i myself stopped biting them unconsciously. additionally, it may help in case you get some thing else to bite on, yet them lower back, that would in simple terms supply you an entire new habit lol....

Who is paying for all of this stuff? If you are working and paying yourself, just remember how much money you are wasting. This is a clear sign of depression though. First, stay out of Malls. Now, go to your doctor.

Put the money towards booze instead.
Kidding!
Buy something for someone else who needs something. They will appreciate it and that will make you feel good at the same time.
