I was dating a man for about a year and a half now and I always knew he looked at porn, which I was ok with but the other day I was using his computer and looked at his history and saw that he had been looking at kiddie porn!!! I love this man very much but when I found out I broke it off with him, because that is just not something I think is not right. I did not tell him that I knew what he was looking at because I just felt very uncomfortable doing so but I know that the right thing to do is to turn him in to the law about this matter, because I am afraid that if he is not stopped now of what he may do to peoples daughters if he takes this to the next level. I feel really stupid asking this question but I don't know who to turn him in to. Do I go to the local police in his area or is there a special number to call about ts kind of thing. Also does anyone know when I report him do I have to give my name or can I remain anonymous because I'm not comfortable giving my name.

Call the police station and ask for the sex crimes or cybercrimes unit. Just look in the phone book for the police department's non-emergency number. Let them know you are not comfortable giving your name but you may have to give it, they can keep it confidential from the guy who you are reporting. Please report it now. People's daughters are already being hurt in the making of kiddie porn.

You may have the best interests of others at heart, but there is no easy way to do what you want to do. If authorities acted on every anonymous tip they got, we would have a police state. Plus do consider that years ago only those driven by extremely prurient desires would go to the extremes necessary to get kiddie porn. Now, with everything so available, even people with just an idle curiosity may visit websites that have kiddie porn. They may not even realize they are instant criminals. I am not saying it is right, but your friend may never have any intention of acting on his fantasy, and what you do could ruin his life.

Turn him in. He is a danger to our children...kiddie porn is AGAINST the law.

Instead of mooning after this creep, think of the little kids being exploited in that crap he's looking at.

You need to go to the police and report it. They may not be able to get a warrant if you report it anonymously.

Regardless about how you feel about giving your name, you need to report him. He is a danger to all children, not just girls. Be thankful you found out now before you married him.

what he's doing shouldn't be condemed and you should report him to police/Crime stoppers (which ever suits you). Both of them offer you to stay anonymous and but if you do decide to testify in court, you can always ask for witness protection...whatever you find fit

Turn him in. The disease he suffers from has no known cure except incarceration.
