Call to the local police station and tell them what you just told us. You don't need to leave your name and you can always hang up.

You may have the best interests of others at heart, but there is no easy way to do what you want to do. If authorities acted on every anonymous tip they got, we would have a police state. Plus do consider that years ago only those driven by extremely prurient desires would go to the extremes necessary to get kiddie porn. Now, with everything so available, even people with just an idle curiosity may visit websites that have kiddie porn. They may not even realize they are instant criminals. I am not saying it is right, but your friend may never have any intention of acting on his fantasy, and what you do could ruin his life.

you have got the terrific pastimes of others at heart, yet there's no hassle-free thank you to do what you desire to do. If government acted on each nameless tip they have been given, we'd have a police state. Plus do evaluate that years in the past purely those pushed by using incredibly prurient needs would circulate to the extremes mandatory to get kiddie porn. Now, with each thing so attainable, even those with in simple terms an idle interest would circulate to web pages that have kiddie porn. they could not even comprehend they are instant criminals. i'm not announcing it extremely is nice, yet your pal would in no way have any purpose of appearing on his fantasy, and what you do could ruin his existence.

You are on the right track, call the hot line for Missing and exploited children where you can make an anonymous report and they will pass it on to the local authorities. Keep yourself safe and get away as quickly as you can, if he even has any idea it is you that reported him, get a protection order from the Courts to keep him away from you! Good luck and thanks for not being afraid to protect little kids even though you love someone! It's nice to know there are people with good moral values still left in the world.

What we're talking about is an addiction problem. If it's not dealt with soon, it will surley escalate to the next level, which might be trying to hook up with a minor.
PLEASE for the safty of children on the internet, tell the authorities.
You say you love the man, well, then you'll help him by preventing him to cause more damage. And, obviously, you didn't know him as well as you thought you did.

I'm sure you can remain anonymous, but I applaud you for wanting to report. Most people would just look the other way, and your right, then they would go out and molest innocent children. Research shows that child molestors often view porn for years prior to acting out on their behavior. You don't know what he's already done or is capable of doing. Good for you for reporting.

I would call the local police & the very first thing you need to say is "I want to remain anonymous and report a sex offender". They will tell you if there is a different number you need to call.

You have to weigh the consequences of reporting him very carefully. He may realize it was you and try to attack or kill you in revenge. Even if he does jail time, when he gets out he may come after you.
You may need to move to another area, change your name and appearance, and move your family members to other areas AND change their names also. Your life could be turned upside down.
I agree wholeheartedly that he should be reported to police, BUT if he's a vindictive psycho, your life could be wrecked.

Call your local TIPS line and fill out the report. Follow up to make sure they have actually received the report. (redo another report) Don't just leave it after you report it. With cops you never know.
