I'm getting a piercing soon, either by myself or someone else. (no lectures, please)
I talked to my mom about getting a piercing, and shes the main reason I'm not getting it done professionally.
Anyway, she said if anyone pierces me she'll file a lawsuit against them/sue them. (I know she's probably crazy enough to do so)

Can she do that? Even if I did it myself?

I know it's my body and my decision and I don't think she can really do anything especially if she doesn't know who did it... But I'm worried incase I do get it done by somebody, I don't want to get them in trouble...

She can sue, but that doesn't mean she'll win.

Enjoy your infection.

Some states do have laws against anyone under 18 getting peirced and or tattooed. But if your under 18 living in your mother's house you should honor her wishes and wait til your 18. If this is the case she's probley paying the rent and all utilites by herself and more than likely feeding you as well. The lest you could do for her is to wait until you are of age to do what you want with you body. After 18 she can't do a thing. How important is this really? Where are you thinking of having it done (on your body) If your planing on working if it's visable your choices of places that will accept this will be limited. Just really decide if the happiness of your mother is more important than a peircing. If it's not your a selfish brat. Also if you don't get it done professionaly (even if you think your doing it sterile) there is a huge chance you could get infected then you would never hear the end of it. And I'm sure it will be your mother taking you to the doctor and paying the bill....right.

No one can pierce your body without your parents consent unless you are 18 or older.

Yes, they can (and will) sue. If you do your own, I'm sure they will come up with an appropriate punishment for you at home and remove your "rings"..the piercings will grown back together quickly.
