An average person drink 8 glasses of 8oz water a day. That means he drinks 8x8oz = 64oz. The average water consumption is 64oz a day.

If someone drinks 12.8 oz of water in the morning, he has consumed 12.8 oz out the the 64oz average already. That's 12.8/64 (twelve point eight over sixty-four).

To find out what fraction 12.8oz is of the daily average of 64oz, you divide 64 by 12.8. 12.8 divided into 64 (or 64 divided by 12.8) is 5. 12.8 is one fifth of 64.

So 12.8 is one fifth, or 20% of 64! If this person drinks 12.8oz of water 4 more times, he will have drank 64oz of water, which is 100% of the average per day :)

If the average person consums 8(8 oz) = 64 oz daily. The exerciser drinks 12.8 oz. To find the percent you divide the total daily oz by the exercier's consumed total 12.8/64=.2 which equals 20%.

Finding the percent can be understood by putting it in easier number terms (they have nothing to do with your problem but are to show how percents work) for instance lets say you have $100 but you spend $20... 20/100=.2 which equals 20% of your money you have spent... hope that didn't make it worse...

First, you need to figure out the daily average. Since the person drinks 8, (8 oz.) glasses of water per day, you multiply 8 glasses of 8 oz. glasses of water which equals 64 oz. of water.

Next, since the person drank 12.8 oz., you divide 12.8 by 64, because 64 is the daily average. If you want to you can go on to simplify it to 1/5 (Fraction)

First figure out how many ounces the average person drinks. That's 8 glasses of water at 8 oz each. So that's 8 times 8.

To find the percentage, divide 12.8 by the average you just calculated above (8x8) and multiply by 100.

okay so the average person drinks 8 8oz glasses so thats 64 ounces a day. so if you drink 12.8 out of 64 ounces you can turn that into a fraction. 12.8/64 then you can reduce if you need to.

8 times 8 is 64. So to find the fraction of the daily average you divide 12.8 by 64 and you get .2, or one fifth.

12.8 /8 x 8 = 128/640 = 64/320 = 32/160 = 16/80 = 8/40 = 4/20 = 2/10 = 1/5

You need to figure out how much total water they drink in a day 8x8oz. Now you need to divide the morning exercise amount into the total for the day.
