Why would a brit think Americans want a religious president? Is it too much to expect a president to be honest, open and fair? We might even expect them to do what they promise after they walk through the White House door. Neither of our last two presidents has done so.

Not all Americans want a religious president. Strong moral values are important-but religion doesn't have to play a role necessarily. Why are you so hung up on the Amish? Are you Amish? If so - PAY YOUR TAXES!!!!
& why would we want to go BACK to any of that?

What we want is a President of strong moral beliefs. This does not mean we want to be led backward through time. You can have one without the other.

If it is as bad as they portray the problem to be, then Yes. I just don't know who or what to believe anymore. It's like they are talking in tongues.
