Mostly yes, because society reproduces the ideal of the strong man and the sensitive woman. And the majority of men (women too) have not realized that such roles do not matter. Both men and women can be both stron and sensitive, actually I believe that only a sensitive man can be strong as well.

Yes it is true of SOME men, not all. Some men feel imntimidated if a woman is better at a sport or recreational game than they are. Some men who are insecure are intimidated by intelligent women. We just have to find the men who are not.

most men are intimidated by most women.
men are taught from a young age...
strength, and toughness, and to be number 1.
against other men that is fine,
but against a woman, they playing field is all different, and most men are not able to level the playing field,,,, against
sensitivity, intelligence, and the other qualities women are taught from that same early age.
I know a LOT of boys responding will not agree, but the question asks "are MEN intimidated by strong women", does not apply to boys, and wanna-be men.

No. Strong women are only intimidating if they are nasty to begin with. Women who feel they should be in control. In most cases, both sexes see the playing field at the same level.

I know a few guys who have said that they are NOT intimidated by strong/intelligent women, but then I've known some guys who have said that they ARE intimidated by them. It just all depends on a guy's confidence level. If he's that confident in himself, he wouldn't mind the competition, but if the opposite applies, then he would feel weak compared to her.

To be honest yes (me personally), its not because I would feel that I do not have control, it has more to with insecurities such as
"will I be able to keep up with her intellectually, or will my friends look down on me because she makes more than me"... the list could go on for ever but those are just a couple examples

Not all men, just the sexist ones who only look at women to check out their boobs or butts. So, yes. I think this is because (somewhere in their miniscule brains), they know the women is smarter than they are.

No. Some men perhaps are. Low self esteem, feelings of inadequacy, who knows exactly all the reasons?
