Tractor pulling has appeared on Eurosport in the past and I presume it will do so again, however I feel that the reason you will not see it is that you have switched to digital reception and now only receive British Eurosport through Sky.

The original and by far the best Eurosport channel is still available but to receive it you will have to find an old analogue satellite system. I have one and still get the very best of sport (all sport) on my TV.

I find it very annoying that once switched to digital you have to pay to watch Eurosport which is essentially a free to air service. Just another part of Sky's unfair but clever and expensive monopoly of programmes.

It is time that the authorities stepped in and looked seriously at Sky services. They are all too willing to take our licence fees but not to intervene in a matter such as this. To make it a level playing field anyone paying to receive Sky, or other providers paid for transmissions, should be exempt from a licence as in effect this is narrow-cast (in as much as you can only get it if you pay) when the licence states it is for broadcast, implying anyone with the right equipment can take advantage of it.

I will not go digital until I absolutely have to and even then will retain my analogue system ensuring my Eurosport coverage continues. Needless to say I will not become a ripped of Sky subscriber.

Not any more unfortunately. They dropped it many years ago, along with truck trialing.

If you want to watch tractor pulling live (and trust me, you've really gotta do that - the noise is unbelievable!), check out the British Tractor Pullers Association website.

There are usually a handful of events in the U.K.
