Between Detroit, Michigan and San Francisco, California, which city would you say is a better city to visit during the summer and why?

San Francisco is a true destination city, while detroit has some semi cool stuff like if you live nearby and want to drive there for the weekend. As far as cost though, San Francisco is ALOT more for anything (it is upwards of $50 a night to PARK a car at many hotels)

It can get a bit chilly in SF during the summer, so for my monet I'd go to Detroit in the summer ... if you are looking for nicer weather.
Now, while SF has mild temps most of the year, the summer winds combine with the famous fog to create what is estentially a natural air conditioning effect of evaporation.
The result is that while the temps are mild it feels like you're freezing due to the moist cool wind.
Detroit on the other hand bakes under a crystal blue sky from May to September; then the clouds migrate in for the winter.

San Francisco is a beautiful city, but kind of expensive.
Detroit is great if you want to see lots of cool old ruined abandoned buildings. And you can stay for free if you can break into one of them and don't mind having to fend off crackheads periodically.

San Fransisco. There are tons of things to see and do in San Fransisco, the Wharf, great restauraunts tour Alcatraz.
Detroit is cool if like being in armed combat. I'd rather go to Bagdhad than Detroit.
