NO it is NOT
it must be connected to the soil stack
is this something you have applied for building regs consent on?
you also need to know how to sort the joists out properly
is this a diy job?
Building regs, section H i think
not complying with building regs is serious, i.e. at best take it out and do it properly at best, court and associated punishment at worst (and redo it anyway)
any surveyor doing a decent job will pick that up if you come to sell.
do you think you can tell the quality of someones work from comments like ' do it but dont tell anyone'. they know its wrong but its easier not to bother doing it the right way, i certainly would not want them working on my house.

Like so many questions - it all depends where you are. In the UK (chiefly in London) some older systems are combined (foul and rainwater) which gives you some flexibility. Elsewhere systems are separated and should not be joined in the way you suggest. Ideally you should connect to the lavatory waste if there is one in the vicinity.

In some areas in London a combined system is allowed. But in the main it is illegal to run waste water into rain water systems due to recycling. Contact your local building control to be advised.

I really doubt it. If they catch you, you'll have to do it again according to code.

Do it , but don't tell anybody, you are probably doing no harm as it is so trivial and not severly contaminated.
