Shuffling your batting line just because a man is making runs in the lower order isnt just a black and white decision. I think Oram would find himself a bit exposed if he were to face a newer ball.
I think batting a 6 is a good spot for a hard hitting impact player. But if NZ were batting well at say 2 for 200 and it was anywhere after 30 overs i would give Oram the Nod.

I think Jacob Oram should come in as close to the 35-40 over mark as close to possible so he has a few overs to get his eye in before sending a few torpedos into the crowd,
This will probably mean he will need to be a 'floater', ie up and down the order depending on the number of wickets lost before 35 overs.
