How are you feeding the baby? Breast feeding? Spooning Gerber's into they baby's mouth while he/she's in their car seat? Bottle feeding?

Basically, it's illegal not to have the baby in a car seat, so breast feeding would be prohibited.

I can't see anything wrong with giving the baby a bottle.

I would say it's inadvisable to be turning around and feeding the baby while you're driving, and you may be cited for reckless driving if you do so, but there is no express prohibition against feeding specifically.

Hope that helps!

The driver needs to have minimum of distraction. Feeding baby while driving is big no no.

If passenger is feeding the baby, it would be Ok if baby is in car seat, properly secured, and so is passenger.

Breast feeding however, could be placing the baby at risk, and be a violation of the kid supposed to be in proper car seat while the car is in motion.

In South Carolina: Article 47 section 56-5-6430 states:
Use of restraint device not required under certain circumstances (referrring to child restraint). the provisions of this article do not apply if a child being transported is being fed. So, legally your wife can breastfeed the baby while you drive (in South Carolina at least...don't know about the rest of the country)

Only if you are the one doing the feeding and the driving.

For everyone's safety, put the bottle down and drive!

While you are driving- yes
While the car is moving and you are a passenger- as long as the child is in it's carseat a bottle would be ok,

It would depend on the laws of the state where you are driving, but I don't know of such a law where I live.

Check your state laws. Every state is different. If it's legal, it's still a stupid thing to do.
