I am afraid I don't believe in fate. But I have Faith in our Lord, does this count? And He has been very good to me.... as always.

In a peculiar way I think fate has been very good to me and I have been blessed.
My life began as a struggle for survival. I often wondered why it had to be so hard, and I pleaded for mercy that didn’t seem to come my way naturally, but for some reason someone always came to my rescue (not in the form of fixing it for me, but rather being a supportive friend or someone who stood by me).
Now that I am older and in control of my life I am very capable of advocating for others who experience what I did. I am supportive without pity, I do not contribute to victim personalities and do aggressive seek confrontation with on going problems (if it continues over and over, something needs to be changed). I am very much at peace and very little interferes with my happiness and for this, I feel fate has been very good to me. When others my age feel blue and complain, I cannot identify with much of their unhappiness- I feel that I am in charge of my life: how I feel is my choice, and what happens to me is my responsibility.

I don't know if I really believe in fate. I do however believe in Karma and with Karma you only get back what you give. So if you give good, you get good 10 times. If you give bad, you get bad 1000 times!!!
I try to treat people the way I expect to be treated. That way I never have to wonder if I did or said something wrong. I do my best and that is all I can do!!!

I'll let you decide:
1: Got divorced after 40 years.
2: Son is hooked on heroin. (Sent to prison)
3: Had a leg amputation. (No insurance)
4: Had to declare bankruptcy.
5: Lost my business of 30+ years.
6: Just lost my house we've lived in for 47 yrs.
7: Forced to move into a dump - just to keep my pets.
8: Christmas is here and I'm a very low fixed income.
9: Can't even buy my grandson a present this year.
10: Last week my old car just died.

yes, but I thank God for the memories, bot most of my life has past and all I have to look at is the past in the future is the death and dying of loved ones, no more babies will be born and no new loves, I always think about replacing my beloved pet but feel the new would never take the place of the old. Dj is gone and I am old. Life has been wonderful though!

depends- I'm better off than most but my family would say other wise.they think I'm slum-ing. but for me that's all i need and I'm real happy with the stuff and the friends that claim me. in the snow- all houses look the same. a million dollar mansion or a rustic log home. it's all covered in snow. only difference is- I'm the one who shovels out!
