Taos or Santa Fe, New Mexico - all the good things about NM. Great weather - fabulous skiing in the winter but in the summer not too hot. Beautiful mountains and rivers, a lot of outdoor activities and great people. Excellent for artists - great art communities.

El Paso, TX--not to small, not to large-close to the border for late night get aways-good climate (I have seen 10 inches of snow on the ground at 4am and by 9 it is gone). Close to Arizona ski locations, hunting, and New Mexicos lakes. Reasonable cost odf living, jobs available for those willing to work--a good all round city.
