ok so ill be 18 in Jan.
and i have NO IDEA what to do!
ive read some idea on here for an 18th bday and had things like
- a bonfire
- rent a hall/ DJ
- go to a theme park
- have a theme party
id love to do any of those but i have no money =(
but i do wanna have a big bash with alot of ppl...
anyone else got some good ideas???

Id say the least expensive would be the bonfire. If you live near the beach.. lots of driftwood.. and why not make tin-foil dinners? (Hamburger or chicken) shredded potatoes, carrots, onions, salt, pepper) and cook them in the bonfire? Play a few games.... just talk.. those to me seem like the best parties where its just friends hanging out.. The structured parties.. to me. suck.

Down in the South, where people might not have alot of money (atleast 18 year olds dont), we would have what is properly known as a field party. Find some land that belongs to someone who wont mind a bunch of drunk immature kids partying on their property and you have a ready made soiree fit for a princess. It is free and the clean up is not too bad, a couple of garbage bags and a few able hands. You can put the bonfire in the middle of the field party and tell people to dress like rednecks (theme) and you have all the makings of a fanfreakintastic 18th bday party! Enjoy

If you live some place the weather will be decent have a big potluck picnic in a public park. If not have a big potluck picnic in someone's basement.
If you like sports have a big game on a public field.
Find someone with a kareoke machine and have a talent show at your house.
Put on a play (with modern dress and simple props) using a few of your closest friends with other friends for audience.
You can also have games. Either board games or party games. Like having someone telling a story without using any words that contain b (for birthday).

Get together with friends who have also turned eighteen and go register to vote! The presidential primary season is almost upon us, and there's a general election in November, so you want to be ready.
After that, go rent some movies, get some soft drinks and snacks, and have a little party.

Try having a potluck dinner. Everyone has to dress a certain style (50's, 80's, etc, preppy, dressy, etc), and bring a dish. You'll have a blast chatting with your friends. Try ending the night with a movie.

Just choose your favourite pub tell all your friends and all meet for drinks. ask everyone to wear something of a certain colour, say green, be it earrings, socks or whatever they fancy. You wont need any money as everyone will want to buy you your first legal drink.
