That's a very complicated question, so I'll try my best to answer.
On one level, it depends on what you're proud of. If you're proud of the bravery, courage and strength of your viking ancestors, then I'd say yes. If you're proud of their tendency to plunder villages I'd say probably not :P
On another level, everyone should be proud of their heritage. After all, we are the only thing our ancestors left behind that has any real value.
Having European heritage can be a little problematic in some ways, though. As with all races, some notable White people (Hitler, the Klan, etc.), have done a lot of horrible things in the name of their specific race or ethnicity.
In addition, it's also important to remember that having a "white" ethnicity may not mean the same thing as having a "black" or "Hispanic" identity. For example, I have a white friend who is proud of his Irish heritage and for him, being Irish means marching in a parade once a year and having some ethnic food every now and then.
For me, being Native American means that I was born on a reservation where almost no one had electricity and the schools were poorly funded.
So to answer your question, it's good to be proud of your heritage as long as you are clear about what you are proud of. For example, I'm proud of the cultural and technological contributions my people have made to the United States and to the world. But I'm not proud of some of my violent ancestors who attacked Anglo settlers for no reason :P

Why would it be wrong? As long as you don't aspire to raping and murdering people, can't see what harm it would do! Though it's a bit odd. Vikings were a pretty long time ago!!!
I don't see the need to rejoice to be honest though, we are all products of our heritage, but you should just be proud of being who you are for your own reasons, not look for props. Is there something wrong with being from where you live??

No...you should be very proud. Some have criticised the plundering days when they landed on other countries soil.Around that time everyone raided everyone else..the Vikings were just better at it. To face the northern seas in small numbers was heroic/...and they added this to the British gene pool.

It's alright. It would be wrong as soon as you think that anybody would be second to you because of your heritage. In my opinion, pride is reserved for things we have created with our own hands, and mental resources. Heritage is the result of an accident. It's nice to know where to find it. Now build a house, but not a warship.

i don't see the enormous cope with ancestry and people, their relatives left there maximum in all probability some hundred years in the past and that they have got been born in usa. I propose a number of my ancestors left eire interior the 18 hundreds, that doesn't make me Irish. It makes me an English citizen with some Irish historical past.
