the two colors look like two triangles but i want a full granny square. can anyone help

I think this is what you are looking for

there is no pictures, but it's a diagonal colored granny.

when changing colors, pull the new color through the last two loops of the last stitch, the new color ends the stitch and it's then on you hook ready to go.

There is also a square in two colors done in single crochet which looks nice.

You switch yarn colors at the end of a round - just break off and tie on the way you would in a normal crocheted item.
