what is the best type of room to stay in at this hotel? I want to be near the pool and casino but also not a noisy room by the strip. are the tower rooms or manor rooms better?

I meant either the main tower room or the skyrise tower room not the manor.

There are two towers, one directly connected to the casino and a second a tram ride away with a small casino. The manor is more of a motel but is closest to the pool and cheapest. You will not hear the noise of the Strip in any of them because all are set back from Las Vegaas Boulevard.
Of the three, I would take a tower and its amenities.

If you are on a budget, it is inexpensive. It was clean, no noise at all, staff were friendly and helpful when I stayed there last week. It has a theme park, arcade and circus acts
if you are bringing kids.
Watch out for the sleazy tour salesman in the lobby, however. Tried to sell me a trip, I found for half the price directly through the tour agency.
If you are not on a budget, pick one on the newer end of the strip. Do a little research about what is best for family, single or a couple.
I have stayed a quite a few. My favorites were the Excalibur (took the grandkids), Luxor, and Mirage.
Have fun.

Its a decent place to stay. It's quite far north on the Strip, but you can always take the Deuce along the Strip and to downtown. Don't waste money on some fancy hotel room. When you're in Vegas, you don't spend much time in the room.

If you are taking children Circus Circus is great. Try the towers. If you are just with adults go someplace else. And the buffet is very good for the price.

Circus Circus is a dump -- it is at the north end of the strip with the old hotels. The manor rooms are newer than the other ones, and the higher up you are, the less likely you will hear traffic noise. You never hear the casino in your hotel room.

Stayed there once, but it was back in the late 70's . stayed at the manor in behind That was before they had the tram& had to walk, but the room was nice. You don't spend that much time in a room anyway,so don't waste money on a high priced one!

Here is a little info on my one and only stay at Circus Circus.
Checked in. Went to my room. Wanted to fix a drink, so I went to the ice machine. I fill the ice bucket with ice, and go back to my room. Put some ice in a glass, and something catches my eye. I look back at the ice bucket, and notice there is a dead roach in the ice bucket. (Came out of the ice machine.)
I call downstairs to complain, she says she will have a manager call me back shortly. While waiting for the call, I start watching TV. Once again, something catches my eye. There are bugs and roaches crawling on the floor next to the dresser. I call downstairs to complain. Luckily, this time thet upgrade me to a "suite" on a higher floor.
I get to the "suite" and the room is huge, but the decor is something out of the Munsters TV show. Dust everywhere. By this time I try to make the best out of a bad situation. I fix a drink. (Straight - no ice this time.) After my drink I adjust the thermostat to get some air blowing through the room. The vent cover falls right off the wall. It was barely hanging on by one loose screw. I prop it up against the wall and call downstairs. They send someone (the next day) with a drill to screw it in properly.
I could go on and on but I'll stop. The place is a dump. It smells. A lot of riff raff hang out right next door at slots-a-fun. Don't stay there. You're likely to get your purse snatched. You can't say you haven't been warned.

If you're going with kids it's a good place to stay. If you're not going with kids....... I would stay someplace else. Spend the extra money and not stay at Circus Circus

Great for kids! They have the Adventuredome and boardwalk sidestalls and Circus acts. Now the downside - it's in the middle of nowhere at the North end of the strip so unless you have a car you will be doing a lot of walking (or paying for taxis/buses) to get anywhere. Consider the Excalibur if you want a kid friendly hotel, it's in a much better location near the MGM Grand.
