I went to jail for a crime I did not commit!! I know that sounds typical, however it is true!! I was a mother of 5 who did all the typical mom things. I graduated from college with a degree from S.U. (masters in education) I go to church and help where ever I can. What the hell happened?? What should I do? How would you handle all of this?

So are you still in jail, or are you out now?

I'm sorry that this happened to you, but unless you can come up with some new evidence that you are innocent you will most likely have to live with this conviction on your record for the rest of your life. Even people who have conclusively proven that they were wrongly convicted have a hard time getting the conviction off of their record and resuming a "normal" life. It's sad.

The best advice that I could give you would be to do everything that you can to put this horribleness behind your and move on with your life. Having been convicted of a crime does not define you as a person [especially since you did not actually commit the crime]. I know it's hard to find a job, etc. with a mark on your record, but you will be able to find one eventually, and with time you will be able to move on.

Hope all works out for you.

You didn't do time for the theft you did, but for a theft you didn't do.

Ah well, sounds like karma to me.

Time to put it behind you and get some therapy to find out why you self-destructed and took your family's reputation down in the process.

Lots of good people have to serve jail time!

I try not to judge people by things that I dont have all the info about. But that is just me.

Ask God, your minister and his wife, and your church to help you find out who really did the crime.

Ask the governor for a pardon.

Your in good company - with Martha Stewart and we all love her!

Joy to you!
