Sure, my crazy ex gf and I came to the conclusion that angry sex can be the best. Even after we broke up, we'd run into each other, argue, and go get it on.

The opposite of love is not hate, its indifference. So when you hate someone there is still concern and passion there...passion is all you really need and it settles itself out. So yes, hate turned to love is possible.
