My son had dimissed charges a few months ago and recently he had a BackGround check and it is showing up. What can I do to remove it.

You may not be able to. Though the charges were dismissed they were made in the first place and there will probably always be a record of them somewhere in the beaucracy. You might want to check with a legal aide lawyer in your area to see if there's anything you can do.

The case and charges, even tho dismissed, still exist in the court records. A background check simply reviews the court records. You need to file a Motion To Expunge the case from the court record. Depending on the case, charges, juvenile age, and the judge, it may or may not be expunged, but you never know until you ask.
