On my Animal Crossing DS game how do I get the money trees to grow money? I plant the money with my golden shovel but then when it grows there are no bags of Bells on it!!! Is it because I have the European version game? Or is it because I always plant less than 30,000 Bells? Or is it something else?
Please help!

its supposed to work... it does for me. i plant the tree with a golden shovel and then i water it with the water from "Big Red" and it always grows bags of money, but then my friends come into my town and take my bags of money! grrr.

ok you should chop down an latest tree, with a golden shovel. in its place bury some money : i could bury ninety,000 beels. each and each tree provides you with 3 bags of 30, 000 bells. The extra money you bury the extra hazard that youre tree will grow to be a money tree.

They dont always grow into money trees. The more money you plant the better chance you have of it growing money though.
A tip is to cut down a fully grown tree, dig up the root and plant your money there, this increases the chance of it growing too.
