I am looking into a vacation in las vegas for my boyfriend and I. I am looking for a nice hotel that is good for a couple. (Not for a crazy bachelor party!!) anyway which hotel would be best for us, Ballys? Luxor? or Paris hotel?

I would say Paris or the Venetian, if you can afford them, then Luxor if you can't. Luxor is considerably older than the other two, and last time I was there my room was definitely showing its age.
Enjoy your vacation!

If coming in the warmer weather I would suggest Mandalay Bay. They have a fantastic pool. The Venetian is really nice and their rooms are suites so you are in real luxury. However the Luxor is real nice. You might try Planet Hollywood. They are just finishing up a total remodel from the Aladdin and I hear nothing but good things about them.
If you want to stay off the strip you might like the Rio. The Palms is geared more for the singles crowd and more of a party atmosphere.
Stay away from Circus Circus. Too many kids there. Stratosphere, Sahara and the Riviera are too far up the strip and seem to be out of the action.
A good favorite is the Mirage. Not crazy about their pool and TI doesn't have a pool and you have to go to the Mirage to use theirs.
Just some things to think about. Have fun .. you won't be in your room too much while here. Too much to see and do.

Out of those 3, I would choose Paris. Ballys is for old people, Luxor is nice, but they do have some rooms without bathtubs, and some rooms are a dump 3. Paris, really nice, great staff, and right in the middle of the strip it could be a tad bit spendy though.

None of the casinos are for families. Places like Hard Rock and Planet Hollywood are more the younger scene. For a nice romantic time I would recommend, if money is not an issue, Venetitian. Treasure Island and Luxor, both of we as locals have stayed, are very nice. I had a relative stay at Paris, nice room but no view.
Go to the specific site for each casino for many have VR tours. Also check out www.lasvegas.com OR www.vegas.com for tours, prices and fun things to do.
Regardless make sure you join the players club online or when you arrive, for discounts and a small souvenir.

Venetian, Bellagio, Luxor or Mirage.
Paris is nice also but sometimes you get the singles that couldn't afford the real party!
Stay away from Hard Rock, Palm, and Mandalay Bay if you want to avoid the "party scene"

My aunt lives in Las Vegas and she says her favorite hotel by far is the Venitian. It's really romantic, and has the whole gondola, I'm in Florence feel.

You could try looking up the places you are interested in at TripAdvisor.com. There you will find reviews from past guests - I've gotten lots of good advice from that site.
