Spraying it with lysol or windex will have no noticeable effect except to annoy it. And that's the last thing you want to do....

I've had them before when people where building new houses in my area. Everytime a new house went up, a mouse would come in. It would freak me out! So I've had a little experience with this.

It's not easy. I've tried the electric gadget and it didn't work. We tried mouse traps and they were usually able to avoid them, or they would get out. I've tried glue strips and they never caught one mouse. The one thing you don't want to do is put poison inside your house. If the mouse dies in your walls, the odor is very offensive and takes a long time to get rid of. If you live in a house, they say to put it outside, by the suspected source of entrance, but I would keep if from where pets can get to it.

I once had luck with getting a shoebox and putting chocolate in it. It got in and was unable to get back out. I dumped the shoebox in a bag and out it went.
Good luck!

Get a cat. They'll keep them from coming back.

If you don't like cats, call an exterminator or use mouse traps (if you don't mind mouse guts). Blinding it won't make it go away.

Get a cat but not a Ragdoll - they don't catch anything. Mutt cats are the best mousers, especially tabbies and calico.

Snap-traps. (If you see one, you've likely got more).
