To the guys that said MU couldn't beat OU... Guess what? If you guys were actually good enough to win against us... You would have gotten the chance to play against OU... And trust me... if MU lost... KU woulda died... Heads up... but I think Mizzou proved they're the better team.

yea... actually rob is right... that's the main reason for it... not that the BcS will admit to it...

KU had the 109th strongest schedule... out of 119 teams... wow... who was the only ranked team they played? Oh yeah... Mizzou... they didn't fare too well there did they?

Money, the bowl who selected them felt that KU would bring more fans and $$ to the bowl than Mizzou. no joke.

One of the main reasons would be that KU had only 1 loss. Even though Mizzou's defense would be that both losses were to OU. But I think it is, is that because they played for the conference title and lost, they are more likely to be left out as an at large. Although it may not seem fair, this is how it typically plays out. Except in the case of 2003 when OU lost to K-State and played in the nat'l title game.

Because under current BCS rules a conference can only have 2 representatives in BCS bowls... which is horse- well you know.
5 BCS bowls... 10 teams... That was the idea when it started right? 2 teams that lost to Mizzou (6) are in BCS bowls, kU (8), and Illinois (13)
and yes, rob is right, but I am in denial that the NCAA has become about money... thats the reason I like college sports so much more, they aren't supposed to be about money

It's because the BCS rewards mediocrity. Look at OSU, they played a soft schedule and are playing for a national tiltle.
Whoever said that the regular season is a playoff is a moron. If that were the case Boise St would be your reigning national champion and Hawaii would be playing for a national title. Also, Mizzou vs KU was supposed to be a "playoff" but the team that LOST the game is the one who gets to play in the BCS game and make all the dollars.
So to answer the question, KU is the BCS game because the system itself is screwed up.

I don't have a valid reason but Mizzou lost last and Kansas only had 1 loss but we still got shafted.

Because 2 losses means you have 1 more loss then 1 loss. Confused? So is the BCS!

Kansas got into the BCS because the Orange Bowl chose them. If you have a problem, take it up with them.

Can't do it. I think the fact they have 2 losses is negated by the fact that Kansas' loss was to Mizz.
