It is funny reading these responses. What would you do if you were in the big leagues in any sport? Be truthful. Can you actually write I would never use anything to keep my position on a pro team? I know, you would never do that. How many of you have smoked pot at anytime or had a beer or smoked a cigarette before age 21? I know that is different, how? If it is illegal, it is illegal. Ladies and gentlemen, look at yourself first then judge others. I myself don't care for baseball and NO I don't like the idea of someone getting juiced on a consistent basis, but if a player uses HGH to heal faster and that is the only purpose, so what. When I was younger I didn't smoke pot, but now I think pot should be used only for those in constant pain, is that wrong? No, I still have not smoked weed. The government will not legalize weed due to the fact people can grow it in their homes and the government cannot profit. If the players had gone through doctors and been given steroids or hgh would anyone be complaining? Does everyone think only 80 people are to blame for this steroid age? Lastly, I thought people were innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Oh yeah, the public finds people guilty no matter what and the public never remembers their personal way of life. I realize the public will not like the truth, but I feel it is time somone reminds the public WE are not perfect. I know these people make millions, but the public can blame themselves for that to. They donate to the money pot in several ways.

Peter Gammons performance was a joke. He has no credibility anymore. ESPN won't, but they should fire him. He asked no follow up questions after Selena Roberts was being trashed and lied about and asked nothing but softball questions. He's nothing but a shill for the players. He's the same guy who called Brian McNamee a "sewer rat" for telling the truth about Roger Clemens, rather than committing perjury.

Amazing how none of these guys admitted to it until after the report came out. They're not sorry for cheating, they're sorry they got caught...
Kinda like the criminal at the sentencing hearing telling the Judge and family that he's sorry for what he did.

Admitting it? LoL there was already evidence and testimony that he had done it so then he admits it? He's a cheater like all the rest, just b/c he admitted it AFTER he was caught doesnt make him any better than anyone else. Had he admitted it before hand, maybe...

I respect him for standing up and taking it like a man and at least admitting to it. Something Bonds wouldn't know about.

I hadn't heard he admitted. I am very glad he was man enough to do that. He's back on my good side. Same with Gary Bennet... You get caught... At least own up to it. Kudos to Andy Pettite.

No respect from me here. He took the easy way out and said he only tried it a few times, so he can get back and "help" his team. Weak - trying to make us feel he did a noble thing. He sucks.

I respect any baseball player who has the guts to own up to and recognize their mistakes. I would respect Barry Bonds if he would have done that, but instead, he lied. No one in their right might should have respect for liars.
