Try this:

Start | Run | "appwiz.cpl" without quotes

Does it come up? If so, you'd just need to fix your view.

Hi,

That's strange, on xp it's the second icon on the top row.

If it's really gone then try start, help and support. In the search field put add remove.

You should see the use windows installer packages with the add remove programs utility option bear the bottom of the results.

Click on that and the help screen will come up.

You should see 1.Open add or remove programs in the control panel. Left click on that and it should open.

If that fails you may need to boot from your installation cd to repair windows.

If you are using windows xp, and you only see a couple links, you're probably in "category view". On the left side of the control panel, there should be a link that says "Switch to classic view" towards the top of the menu. Just click that and it should show alot more options in your control panel.

Alternatively, if it's a business or educational computer, the system admin may have disable your access to that panel for security reasons.

The only place I know that your add/remove is located in your "control panel". You don't say if your add/remove was there when you installed your platform, or that you have used prior to this problem.

Have you run your antivirus program, to see if some kind of trojan virus is playing games with your add/remove??,

Worse come to worse, you can use your search engine and find a free uninstaller to download. (Will be on your desktop if you download a free one).

Sorry, don't know what else to tell you, plus you don't state what platform that you are using.
