I'm trying to figure out if a man's sex drive can be controlled and if they cheat because of their sex drive. I would also like to know the statistics for a man being faithful and cheating.

Some of us can control the urge easily enough. If the men you're dating can't, maybe you need to find a different caliber of man.
Oh, and from what I read, the reason for cheating often has little to do with sex. So maybe you're using the wrong tactics to keep your man at home? (Don't get me wrong, we like the sex, but there IS more involved than just that)

Well i've been with my girlfriend for over 15 months, and i've stayed 100% faithful to her - So not all men are in that kind of cheating stereotype (and I don't think that many men actually do cheat either, as I said its a stereotype), and i'm in control of what you call the 'sex drive' as i've not once fancied another girl while i've been with my girlfriend.

No, not all men cheat. Some do, yes. But you can't generalize like that. I find that most who do cheat do it because of something they're lacking in themselves. It has nothing to do with sex at all. That's just a side effect.

No, they cheat because they have no self control, and no character or loyalty.
I know dozens of men who are great husbands, great fathers going into 20+ years of marriage.
Don't ever buy the line that men can't control themselves - that's a justification for staying with a cheater.

the urge is not uncontrollable...many of us do have contro over our basic instinct...that is to profligate the species by spreading our seed around.....womens nesting urges do take precedent over our urges though.....
