Am surprised at the lack of international reaction and outcry. Are people so de-sensitised? and how come no one seem to believe that nothing wrong has been done? legally may be! but this type of behaviour is unacceptable and people should face consequence for their actions. I would love someone to sue the Dutch adoptive parents! I've seen lawsuits for less than that (hot coffee from a fast food, does that ring a bell?!)

read it in Canada, in the national post. It didn't make the front page but it was a noticeable article.
Am disgusted that someone would consider a child a disposable entity. like you, am also surprised that this story did not make more waves (at least in Canada). I used to leave in the Netherlands a few years back and I am wondering if this story is covered there.
if anyone hear of a trustfund for this little child or of a petition of somesort to bring the Dutch adoptive parents to justice somehow, I hope someone will post it so we can help.

There is more to this story than any of us in the rest of the world here will ever know. It is a bunch of baloney, I know that for a fact. I know several families who have adopted children from multiple cultural backgrounds at the same age and they have all adjusted to the parents life and culture.
I wish I were able to adopt the poor child, that is heartbreaking. I pray that that couple don't have any other children, adopted or otherwise.
A child is not returnable, a child is a gift from God.
Brutal, I can barely type, I am tearing up over this.
The world and many of the people in it is so messed up, it is horrifying.

Well since there was not any real reason given for giving the child up, other than speculation, what can a person say! We do not know what went on in their home. I personally would not be able to give one of my children up. That is morally wrong, a child needs to know that they have a family through thick and thin this is what gives them a sense of belonging. But like I said earlier we do not know what went on inside their home. maybe the adoptive parents are protecting the child, or maybe they are protecting their other children. We will never know probably.

That is absolutely disgusting. Its rape, not physical but mental and I really wish that there was something that the law could do to punish them such as making a trust for her. If they aren't going to be personally responsible for her up bringing then they should be financially. I cant believe that they would allow that to happen, when you adopt a child the child becomes your kin and you don't give up your child because they have black hair, or blue eyes, or a lisp, or even if he or she is a brat. There is absolutely no excuse.

That was so so sad, poor little girl, I think the couple that adopted her should have to at least give her half of everything they own and I hope she finds a loving family.

All I can say is that I think that this poor little girl is well rid of these callous "parents" I only hope that her next guardians will be a lot more caring and thoughtfull towards this little girl.

No matter what breeding will show through I have a friend who adopted a Korean boy who as a teenager is totally alien to children who have been here and born here he looks different and this is a major factor ~~

that is such a crap excuse!!! SHE'S 7 years old!!!
They've had her since she was born! Whatever their culture was would be her culture! I think it's just a sorry excuse.
But, better they gave her up than to mistreat her
