well,i did find out that direct tv provides nfl network at no extra charge.i went ahead and signed up for the "sports entertainment" tier, for 4.95 more a month from comcast.they warned us about this, didn't they?i think in 10 years time we'll be paying $$$ per GAME. thanks to all for your answers.P.S. i'm NOT a 49ers fan,i'm even worse, i'm a Raiders fan,(boo hoo, wait till next year, blah blah)

I'm not sure who's fault it is... the cable providers or the NFL... all i know is i don't like it. I'm so pissed that all us football fans have to miss the thursday and saturday night games this year. I don't know man, it ain't right... feels like their controlling a monopoly or something.

Because it is only shown on the NFL network. The NFL network is only carried by Directv. Cable operators and the NFL have not reached an agreement, so cable operators are not carrying the NFL network. It is a battle between the NFL and the cable operators, two giants. I hate cable, I have directv, so I am rooting for the NFL to win the battle.

Sorry about your luck!!! Go figure!!! We were looking forward to watching the Cleveland Brown's play recently but the local channels chose NOT to let us see it down here in South Carolina. Gee, there are so many Ohioans down here, you'd think they'd let us see the game, but no such luck.
