The woman obviously did it for attention for herself. She's too immature to realize that that child has to grow up with that name. Friends will think her mother is a nut case in which she probably is. Alot of people do that to their babies by giving them names they say is a cute and different name but the real reason is that THEY want and need the attention. Its so immature, they shouldn't have kids.

It sounds silly, you are right. I guess she was trying to give the baby a "clever" name, but it just ends up looking and sounding corny.
A name like that shows ignorance of proper writing and spelling (the consonants C+D cannot in the English language. They must have a vowel between them. The same applies to B + C.) and also bad taste. The name could conceivably be pronounced Ab-Sidey, but it's a streatch, and Abisidey is inventing a sound that is not there.
What will they name the second child? Fghij (Feegidge?)

That is one poor kid. Who names their kid with the first 5 letters of the alphabet. Especially in the same order. Atleast the child won't have a hard time spelling the name. I feel sorry for that kid.

Is he also learning his ABC's? That poor kid is going to have a lot of problems with that name. Names mean a lot.
My Indian friends were not given last names. In their culture, some people deal with the class problem by dis-associating their children with that class. A lack of a last name is a problem in the US.
My friends (a couple of them) came to America to attend Gradschool. The administration office first thought they were lying. Then for the section of their paper work which required their last name, the women put "No Last Name"
As a result, their email address is: dnolastname@... and snolastname@. Theie school id, diploma, ... ect also indicate that their last name is "No Last Name"
They are quite annoyed about this problem.

Two brothers named Lemonjello and Orangejello. Alternatively, there's always Zezozose Zadfrack Glutz, son of Sadie Mae Glutz (one of Charles Manson's brainwashed sycophants).

I think the name sounds pretty, but the spelling is so wrong...that poor child has to grow up with people trying to pronounce it... I couldn't even pronounce it,until i read the part on how you pronounce it,...geezzz... if that's how it's pronounced, i like the other spelling better, plus it LOOKS better on paper... poor kid.

It's not nice to give kids weird names. Other kids can be really cruel. At least it's a middle name!

reminds of the story of the couple that named their kid AK-47.
Parents should learn to name their kids properly so that the kids don't end up having a traumatic childhood. School can be a rough place.

Its very unusual. But thats ok. Her mother may just want a child thats diffrent then any other child. Her name is beautiful to me. Abcde is probably one of her moms favorite names. If she really liked that name don't bring her down by saying you don't think that name is very cool for a baby. Hope this helps!
