You are startled from a deep coma by this obnoxious Metal Machine Music. You open your eyes a little. You switch off the alarm. You look at the clock. Its 4:00 in the morning. You gaze at some strange little light on the ceiling. Why the HECK did you set an alarm for 4:00 in the morning?

Because its the best time of the day...no one about, peace everywhere, no sound whatsoever. I love that time of day, between 4 and 5.30 am. Try getting up and going out for a walk or a drive, its magical.

My kitty has messed with mine. It's been known to go off at 2:00 in the morning, or 3:00 in the afternoon!

They meant to set it for 4pm because they were taking a nap at 3pm and needed to get up then but they accidentally set it for 4 am and forgot to change it . . . but were happy because they realized they had 3 more hours to sleep! Exciting.
Or. . . . so that it can wake them up 3 hours b4 they actually have to get up, and then make them happy they actually get to sleep 3 more hours . . . instead of waking up at 7 and feeling groggy.
Or . . . they might have a plane to catch, or maybe really early work or class
Or. . . if they have a roommate they don't like and are a petty person they might want to set it that early just to annoy the roommate

how did you know this is what I did today? So you were the one in my room who shut off my alarm. Hey you stay outta my room. i wanted to wake up that early, and i like Metal music. Sleep outside next time where the paper boy can toss a newspaper at your sleepy butt at 6:00 AM instead.

well I have had to do that too when I had to get up for work but then once I did it just to annoy the he l l out of my ex husband LOL I thought I would set the alarm for 4:00 am for several weeks in a row everyday... drove him NUTS!!!!!! by that time he was too drunk and in a comma to get up but I would make sure to sleep on the couch and not wake up :)

You may have been a little blurried eyed last night Dave.
I used to as I liked to be at work by just after 0500.
I still wake up that early, which allows me three hours on answers, before my life starts.

Go on a dive trip. (or)
Take friend to airport ( why can't these people ever book late morning or afternoon flights?) (or)
That's when I've been getting up for the last 6 years.
Although I'm not dumb enough to set my clock radio to Metal.

the guy next door to us works in the empire state building he is election he has to be there for 7am so he leaves really early to drive to the train station than takes the train so he can be in work for 7am. he must make good money and love his job cause he been doing that for yrs. - also you would set your alarm early to go to the black Friday sales.
