Bri I know who Alister sims is. He is one of me fave old actors. I have the alister sims scrooge which just happens to be the best adaptaions ever.

My husband looks just like Alistair Sim - he was Scrooge in the black and white version and Matron in St Trinians for those too young to remember. Everyone remarks on the similarity.

A few weeks ago i was sitting opposite an elderly looking chap on a train from Liverpool, after the train arrived at London Euston one of the catering girls told me it was Ken Dodd he looked ancient
