Fiberglass can be hazardous if unprotected, but 5 minutes worth
will not cause intense damage. If you are going to watch I would recommend wearing proper protective equipment , this way you will not have to worry about the dangerous affects.

i think of you have fiberglass wool (insulation fabric) at a loss for words with stable fiberglass, like that used in ladders. The wool stuff, additionally popular as glass wool or spun glass, has particularly some tiny slivers that would get into your pores and skin and irritate you something awful. stable fiberglass, like the ladder fabric, would not have those friable fibers that come off on your hand or different pores and skin, so it would not have that challenge. So, assuming the ladder is physically powerful sufficient to hold you (examine the burden score), it is purely as risk-free as a metallic or wood ladder. safer while you're working around any wiring, becaus fiberglass isn't an outstanding conducter of electrical energy.

I would say no. You probably inhaled some glass dust. Glass is a very 'benign' substance, it doesn't cause cancer or anything because it doesn't dissolve or react chemically in your body. But the particles are sharp and they can cause some damage to the lining of your throat and the air passages to your lungs.
If the damage is bad enough, it can cause a bacterial infection called bronchitis. If in a week or two you find breathing painful, or you're coughing up a lot of 'green' stuff, you should see a doctor and get some antibiotics, and that will clear it up in just a day or two.
Otherwise your body will just dispose of the glass particles, no problem.

No. I think you coughing was from the resin used is the fibreglassing process. It is mixed with a catalist that makes it a really strong and toxic exopy. I can't be around it because I get a headache in about one second. Your reaction is not unusal for someone not use to it.

if there was sanding, grinding or cutting, you should have put on the proper air filter over your face. Tiny particles can get in and irritate throat and lungs. Not sure how harmful they may be though. Always use personal protection equipment.
