You don't have to fake your surprise. Say something like, "Oh, Mum,it's wonderful. I have been wanting this for a while!" Give her a kiss on the cheek if you are comfortable with that.
Make a fuss and show your appreciation. Even though it is no longer a surprise, be sure to show her how much you like the gift.

What a shame it's no longer a surprise.....l love surprises!!
Well, all you can do is look surprised and thank her profusely!!
Your mum will be really looking forward to giving you your present on Christmas morning....please don't take that away from her. My daughter does it to me every christmas, and I'm left feeling so disappointed with her response!! xXx

Lol, my partner said to me last night, 'do you like Eeyore?' - That phase was about 5 yrs ago, so I was honest and said 'not really.' And that was that. This morning he gets out this Disney Shop bag and gives it to me
'Merry Christmas' he says
'But it's not Christmas yet'
'I know, but I'm impatient.'
So basically, I know it's something Eeyore-related, and he knows I know. Why did he just ruin my only Christmas present? I've now got to practise acting like I love it. I might love it, which would be great, but I dunno :)
