Yes. But if your seeing that it's wet the salt level is getting low.

Sounds like your low on salt if you can see the water. You want to fill your salt holding tank just a few inches from the top and then maybe throw in one new bag a month. Your system should regenerate automatically at night when no-one will be using any water. Make sure your timer is set properly for around 3 or 4AM to regenerate.

Water goes into the salt container. The softener system should regenerate automatically. You should also be able to set the times it does this with a timer on the top of the tank.
