I am willing to pick up the cost of the 800#, if someone
can get the # transferred to me and get Santa's daily recorded
message installed. Lets not let thousands of kid's hopes ,dreams, and excitement die. This # is all over the web
and well known by thousands of excited kids.

Contact AT&T and work from there. When they tell you the number is taken, then ask them which provider has registered it (Sprint, AT&T, other).

Contact that provider and ask them if/when the number will be available and snag it.
