There is a subdivision in NW Houston called Prestonwood Forest. They have a spectacular light display every year. Every street has a theme, and every house is decorated. It's located off of 249 near the Willowbrook area at Prestonwood Forest.

Also, another poster mentioned a neighborhood in west Houston. That gated community is called Lakes of Parkway. The Park at Lakeside is a large apartment complex near there. Anyhow, their lights aren't great, but the houses are nice and big. Most everyone there just outlines the perimeter of their home in white lights. I know people who live there and have been there recently. Good luck getting in if you don't know anyone.

Prestonwood is famous for their organization of their neighbor's decorations. My 9 year old always wants to go there to see christmas lights.
